ACUARELAS, LUZ DE VELAS Y TÉ DE JAZMÍN

Día de festejo por las revoluciones de amores de la vida. Y, en mi costumbre de conjugar los verbos de las artes, aquí van esta acuarela de la talentosísima y preciosa artista plástica Kira Mamontoff, «Té de jazmines», y una poesía de Elmera j. Cartwright, «Candlelight and jazmine tea», que traduje y adapté del inglés.
Porque el té y los jazmines son para compartirse, y las velas para ser sopladas después de impulsar los mejores deseos.
LUZ DE VELAS Y TÉ DE JAZMÍN
La noche está fría, pero mi corazón,
tibio, en este espacio feliz de alegría y encanto,
brinda hospitalidad
con luz de velas y té de jazmín.
La porcelana es frágil, en el mantel de encaje
la plata brilla como rayos de luna de la primavera,
y la noche se mueve de forma exquisita
cuando hay luz de las velas y té de jazmín.
Jengibre confitado y dulces bocados
de pétalos de rosas y violetas
habrá aquí, si compartes conmigo
la luz de las velas y el té de jazmín.
Es la atmósfera donde los corazones
pueden soñar antes de partir,
y el ánimo se vuelve exótico
a la luz de las velas y el té de jazmín.
Hace frío esta noche, pero mi fuego brilla;
hay un cómodo hogar para entibiar tus pies.
Oh, ¡entra ya y comparte conmigo
la luz de las velas y el té de jazmín!
